Build a Better Relationship with Your Dog

My mission is to help you better understand your dog, strengthen your connection, and have more fun together. I offer private training, play and learn, board and learn, and nail care training services in Portland, Oregon — and virtual coaching everywhere else.

Why hire a professional dog trainer?

Dogs are more than just pets. They’re our companions and playmates. Our sports and work buddies. Sometimes even our guardians. And they’re the best reminders we have to be more spontaneous, present, and joyful ourselves.

But dogs don’t speak our language, and we don’t share their abilities and drives. So it’s up to us to bridge those gaps.

I’m here to help.

When will my puppy learn house manners?

Dogs were bred to do so many different things — like guarding, hunting, herding, and yes, being adorable. But for many breeds, learning to be a good house pet takes time, steady management, and lots of positive reinforcement. I can show you what to do.

My pup has so much energy!

Dogs expend as much energy thinking as they do moving around. While taking your dog on a walk is great, there’s so much more you can do to exercise their mind, body, and senses. I can introduce you to species and breed-specific enrichment activities including sniffing, tugging, searching, chasing, foraging, and other training games that are fun for them — and you.

How to get my dog to stop pulling on walks?

For most dogs, walking nicely on leash isn’t something that just happens on its own. It has to be trained. Luckily, there are a variety of ways to do this that will have you looking forward to their neighborhood walks as much as they do!
